Dalia Ornelas Huerta is a graduate research assistant at the University of Maryland.
She is a research assistant at the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI) at the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on the study of strong-matter light interactions with ultra-cold Rubidium atoms. During her Ph.D., she built and designed an entire cold-atomic experiment from an empty room. When she is not working in her Ph.D., she enjoys doing physics outreach. She was selected to design a long-week Optics course for students at Monterrey, Mexico, for Club de Ciencias MX. She was also a finalist at the University of Maryland of the Three Minute Thesis Competition.
